Presentation Instructions
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS OF LONG and SHORT PAPERS
The authors of accepted papers will present their work during the technical sessions.
AVI 2024 will host 16 sessions, which can include long and short papers. Authors will receive an email with details about the date and time of their presentation. The complete program of AVI 2024 is available in the AVI 2024 program page.
Authors of long and short papers will have 25 and 15 minutes respectively to present their work, including Q&A.
The Session Chair will moderate the Q&A. Please meet the Session Chair at least 15 minutes before the session starts.
A Student Volunteer will be in the room to help presenters with technical issues.
Note: In the conference room, we will provide:
- a computer (Windows 11 OS) that will be used for all the presentations
- a projector
- WiFi connection
Recommended file types for your presentation:
- Microsoft Power Point,
(Google Presentations need to be exported as Power Point or PDF files)
We recommend embedding any videos into your presentation. For safety, we also suggest uploading your video on YouTube and adding its link to your presentation.

Also, as a backup, we kindly invite you to send us a link to your presentation, by filling out the form that will be sent to you via email.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS OF POSTER and DEMO PAPERS
The authors of poster and demo papers will present their work during a dedicated session on Thursday, 06 June, in the time slot 11:30-13:00 (for more information, please visit the AVI 2024 program page).
Posters
Posters must have a portrait (vertical) orientation.
Suggested size: A1
Stylistic choices are up to authors. The conference does not provide templates or guidelines except for what is stated above. E.g., authors may use their institutional template, if any.
Posters need to be printed in advance and presenters need to bring the printed poster with them at the conference.
Demos
For each demo paper, we will provide the following equipment:
a table
electrical power
wifi connection
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS OF DC PAPERS
The authors of Doctoral Consortium papers will present their work in a session that will be held on Friday, 07 June, in the time slot 10:00-10:30 (for more information, please visit the AVI 2024 program page).
Doctoral students will have 2.5 minutes to present their work to the entire AVI 2024 audience, with no Q&A.
Moreover, they will present their work in a dedicated poster session during the coffee break on Friday, 07 June.
In addition, they will have the opportunity to discuss their work with a mentor.
