DC paper submission: Friday, March 15, 2024
Notification: by April 5, 2024
Instructions for Doctoral Consortium submissions
Doctoral students are required to submit two files:
1) a paper up to 2 pages (+1 for references), in English, not anonymized, single-author (page length refers to the two-column layout),
2) an extended abstract, i.e. a document (max 1000 words), that describes the PhD student research project presented in the paper, the current status of her/his research, her/his supervisor, and the specific contribution of the student to the project.
Videos and auxiliary materials. Authors are allowed to upload auxiliary materials and short videos that do not exceed 2 minutes. Note, however, that papers should be self-contained, in the sense that they can be read and understood without any auxiliary material.
Submitted papers must be formatted according to the ACM SIG format:
LaTeX through Overleaf: SIGCONF template (two columns) https://www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/association-for-computing-machinery-acm-sig-proceedings-template/bmvfhcdnxfty
Word (single-column) https://authors.acm.org/proceedings/production-information/taps-production-workflow
Since the Word template is single-column, please use Word’s functionality to switch to a 2 column paper and it will automatically reformat to see page length.

The goal of the Doctoral Consortium is to provide a setting for PhD students to present their work and receive feedback on their doctoral research plan and progress in the field of HCI and visual interfaces.
Students will be offered the opportunity to articulate and discuss their problem statement, goals, methods, and results.
The Doctoral Consortium also aims at providing students with guidance on various aspects of their research from established researchers and the other students participating in the sessions.
Finally, the Doctoral Consortium seeks to motivate students in the development of their scientific curiosity and facilitate their networking within the research community.
All accepted proposals will be invited to present at the conference and prepare a poster. In addition, sufficiently mature and original contributions will be published in the conference proceedings, published in the ACM Digital Library.
The Doctoral Consortium will be held on 6th or 7th June, 2024
