Grants for students

The SIGCHI Development Fund Committee awards a Development Fund grant to support Student participation to AVI 2024

Supported by ACM SIGCHI

Preference in financial support will be given to students presenting at the Doctoral Consortium and to students who are first authors and will present the paper at the conference. Moreover, preference will be given to students from economically developing countries and underrepresented groups in HCI research and computer science. See the Doctoral Consortium call for papers. 

The goal is to attract new young researchers in HCI and visual interfaces and enlarge AVI and SIGCHI community. 

Students will be required to submit an application for funding, including their expected costs, information about the paper(s) submitted for the conference, and a letter of recommendation from their advisor. 

The selected students will also be requested to volunteer at the conference.

Please note that the selected students must be SIGCHI members prior to the event itself. SIGCHI Student Membership Rate per year is  $10 (USD).
