TUTORIAL proposal deadline (23:59, AoE):


Tutorial proposals should concisely and clearly describe the content and objectives of the proposed tutorial (5 pages max). The proposal should follow this TEMPLATE, which provides details about the required information. Basically, proposers need to specify the tutorial title, abstract, objectives and motivation, proposers name, affiliation and bio, main topics of the tutorial, an outline of the tutorial, and information about previous tutorial experience.

Note that: AVI will not pay for registration, travel, or other arrangements for tutorial organizers.

Submission instructions

Workshop proposals should concisely and clearly describe the content and objectives of the workshop (5 pages max). The proposal should follow this  TEMPLATE, which provides details about the required information. Basically, proposers need to specify the workshop title, abstract, objectives and motivations, main topics, the workshop format and required services, the expected target audience based on previous workshop editions or as the organizer's realistic guess, the review process and proceedings publication, as well as the organizers' bio and contacts.

Note that:

- proposals for in-person workshops will have priority, but also proposals for hybrid and fully-virtual workshops can be submitted  for the sake of inclusivity,

- AVI will not pay for registration, travel, or other arrangements for workshop organizers or any of their invited speakers or guests. AVI will also not pay for workshop dinners.

Tutorials

We encourage the proposal of tutorials on new and emerging topics or, conversely, consolidated topics related to Advanced Visual Interfaces and general HCI approaches, methodologies, or technologies. 

The selected tutorials will be held on the first days or the last day of the conference and Doctoral Consortium students will be invited to participate in them.


Workshop proposals

We invite proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the International Conference on Advanced Visual Interfaces AVI 2024. We invite proposals for either half-day long or day-long workshops.

Please note these important dates required for all AVI workshops:

Workshops will be held on 3rd or 4th June, 2024

Workshops receiving less than 10 registrations, might be proposed to merge with others or cancelled.


Each running workshop must be accompanied by a  distinct registration by at least one of the organizers to the full conference, completed by the early registration deadline.

At least 2 organizers need to be in person for in person and hybrid workshops. 


Proposals of workshops and tutorials should be within the scope of AVI 2024 avi2024.dibris.unige.it
